Charity Rae Grossmann

MADISON Charity Rae Grossmann, age 34, died unexpectedly in Madison on Friday, May 2, 2014. Charity was born in Columbus, Wis. on June 22, 1979. She grew up in Portage, Rio and Madison and worked as a CNA in Wisconsin Dells. Charity is survived by her father, Frank E. Grossmann; a sister, Katrina M. Grossmann; four brothers, Chad E. Grossmann, Calvin Ooosterhof, Marcquies Theus and Mandell Mathis; aunts and uncles, Faye and Jim Burmeister, Wonda and Lonie Dixon, Greg Gaines and Christy Gaines; a great aunt, Velma Wakershauser; her maternal grandmother, Johanne Gaines; other step-brothers and step-sisters as well as several cousins, including Courtney Pace and Hailey Gaines. She was preceded in death by her two grandfathers, Erne Gaines and Chester Grossman; grandmother, Wilma Grossmann; and uncles, Kevin Gaines and Don Graff; great-uncles, Richard and Kenny Wakershauser and many more. A special memorial service will be held at CALVARY GOSPEL CHURCH, 5301 Commercial Ave., Madison on Saturday, May 10, 2014 beginning at 11 a.m. Visitation will be held at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established at UW Credit Union to assist the family.
