Carol Lynn Lincoln

CAROL LYNN LINCOLN, 71, of Roscoe, IL., passed away peacefully with her husband by her side on Sunday, November 22, 2015. She was born June 17, 1944, in Oregon, IL., to Okkel Mennenga and Lauretta (Frase) Ackerman. She married Freddie J. Lincoln Nov. 20, 1976, in Machesney Park, IL. Preceding her death include her parents and brother, Okkel (Butch) Mennenga. Survivors include: her beloved husband Fred; sister, Judy Lindgren of Rockford; sons, Jeffrey (Amanda) Kennington, David Kennington, Brad (Debbie) Kennington; daughters, Tracy (Chris) Bilyeu, Audrie (Randy) Kennington; step-daughters, Penny (Dennis) Mangrum, Donna (David) Burkart. The sparkles in her eyes were her 17 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She was a stay-at-home mother and was the foundation of our family. She loved spending time with her friends at the VFW in Roscoe, IL., and at the Navy Club in Rockford, IL. A special thank you to the caring people of Agrace Hospice and Palliative Care in Janesville, WI. Mom - you'll always be in our hearts and you will be missed. In celebration of her life, the VFW, Post 2955, in Roscoe, IL., will be hosting lunch on November 28, 2015 from 1p.m. to 3 p.m. A memorial service for family and friends will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, November 29, 2015 at Northeast Christian Church, 5651 E Riverside Blvd, Rockford, IL 61114.
