Madison- Carl Templin passed away at his home on August 22, 2007 at the age of 52. He was the son of the late Elbert and Isabel Templin of Shawano, WI. He was born on January 3, 1955 in Shawano County Hospital and was named the Shawano County “New Years baby”. He graduated from Shawano High School in 1973 as the Student Council President and the top male student of his class. He then went on to St. Norbert’s College in DePere, Wisconsin, where he graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Psychology, and a member of the Delta Epsilon Sigma honors fraternity in 1977. He had a passion for the French Language and for baking. He recently earned his General HAM license, full-filling a lifetime dream of being able to talk around the world on a radio. He is survived by his two children, Kristen and Jonathan, both of Madison, WI; his sister, Pattie (Templin) Woods of Delavan, WI; and his nieces and nephew, Erin (Woods) Peterson of Elkorn, WI, Andrea Woods of Chicago, IL, and Justin Woods of Madison, WI. A Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, Aug. 30, 2007, at 11 a.m., at ST. BERNARD CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2015 Parmenter St., Middleton. A visitation will be held from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2007, at ALL FAITHS FUNERAL CHAPEL, 4058 Lien Road, Madison and from 10 a.m. until the time of services on Thursday at the church. He was a loving father, brother, and uncle, sharing all that he had with those he loved. He will most be remembered for his story-telling, his smile, and his laughter. We love you so much, Dad! We are so proud of you and your life’s accomplishments. You will be missed beyond words.
