Brian A. Georgeson

DANE Brian A. Georgeson, age 71, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2014 at the William S. Middleton Memorial Veterans Hospital in Madison. He was born Nov. 13, 1942, the son of Alfred and Wanda (Taylor) Georgeson. Following graduation from Lodi High School, Brian enlisted in the U.S. Army. He worked most of his life at Waunakee Alloy Casting Corp. Brian is survived by two sisters, Dollie Birkrem and Sally Gnaegy; 14 nieces and nephews, several great nieces and nephews as well as many great-great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Claire Rathburn and Maurice and Bruce Georgeson; and a sister, Stella Johnson. A Celebration of Brians life will be held at the DANE AMERICAN LEGION HALL, 124 N. Military Rd., Dane, on Sunday, Sept. 7, 2014 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Please bring a favorite memory of Brian to share. The family would like to thank the staff at the VA Hospital for the care given to Brian over the years. The family would like to acknowledge Jay and Daniel in the paliative care unit for the compassionate care given to Brian in his final days.
