Birdine S. Oestreich

SUN PRAIRIE - Birdine S. Oestreich, age 90, died Thursday, Sept. 29, 2011, at Sterling House Assisted Living in Sun Prairie. She was preceded in death by her husband Glen on Sept. 17, 2011. She was born in Clark County, Wis., on Aug. 1, 1921. She married Glen Oestreich on Aug. 6, 1941. She spent her early life farming and then became a beautician and medical transcriptionist. She was a member of Sun Prairie United Methodist Church. Birdine is survived by sons, Ross (Kay) and Daniel (Harriet); four grandchildren, Joan (Jason) Irwin, Jon (Kelly) Oestreich, Jill (Mike) Bandli and Kim (Nick) Widener; great-grandchildren, Alex, Beth, Brooke, Crystal, Karly, Caitlin and Jon Jr.; and great-great-granddaughter, Catherine. A memorial service will be held at SUN PRAIRIE UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 702 North St., Sun Prairie on Sunday, Oct. 16, 2011, beginning at 2 p.m. Visitation will be held at the church on Sunday from 1 p.m. until the time of service. Interment will be at the First United Methodist Church in Waukegan. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Sun Prairie United Methodist Church or the American Diabetes Association are suggested.
