Betty J. Ormord

MADISON - Betty J. Ormord, age 82, passed away on July 15, 2013, at St. Mary's Care Center. She was born on Jan. 22, 1931, in Madison, the daughter of Clarence and Katherine (Eggs) Goldbin. She was married to Irving C. Ormord for 40 years. Betty was active as one of Jehovah's Witnesses since 1950. She enjoyed nature, especially gardening and watching birds. She also had a love for sewing, knitting, and baking. Betty is survived by her children; Kathy (Tom) Paine of Johnson Creek, Deb (Greg) Olson of Fitchburg, Fay (Boyd) Lycan of Verona, Brenda (Steve) Bernards of Sun Prairie, and Kurt Ormord of Madison; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a brother, Clarence (Cleo) Goldbin of Madison; sisters-in-law, Joanne and Shirley Goldbin; brother-in-law, James Elliott; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two brothers, Ray and Leroy; and a sister, Gloria Elliott. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, July 28, 2013, at the FITCHBURG KINGDOM HALL OF JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES, 3082 Herman Road in Fitchburg. Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m., with the service to follow.
