Barbara L. Anderson

WEST ALLIS/MONTELLO - Barbara Anderson, age 87, passed away peacefully at the Aster Retirement Center of Cottage Grove, Wisconsin. Barbara was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and married husband Harvey on March 6, 1948. Barbara spent most of her working life in a mens clothing store in West Allis and then retired with Harvey to Montello, Wisconsin. Harvey was the love of her life, but passed away on October 12, 2009. Barbara is survived by children Kirk (Sherry) of Northville, MI, Lois Ruby of Stratford, CT, and John (Diane) of Cambridge, WI. She is also survived by six grandchildren: Shannon (John) Fischer and Jonathan (Aleisha), Scott (Julie) and Chris (Monica), and Andrea (Luke) Rahbari and Bryan (Shannon); nine great grandchildren (who she adored) Jackson, Savannah, Olivia, Wyatt, Amani, Nadia, Anderson, Finley and Charlie. She is also survived by a sister, Nita Batchelder of Venice, FL who she shared a special bond. She is preceded in death by her parents, Luella and William Kirk, her brothers Willis and Terry, and sisters Betty, Mabel, June, Jene Ann and Lois. A memorial service for Barbara will be held at the WILLERUP UNITED METHODIST CHURCH, 414 W. Water St., Cambridge Wis., on Saturday, May 14, 2016, beginning at 11 a.m. Memorials are preferred to go to Agrace HospiceCare, 5395 E. Cheryl Pkwy, Madison, WI 53711 or Aster Assisted Living, 139 E.
