Barbara J. Zantow

MADISON – Barbara J. Zantow, age 77, passed away on Monday, July 30, 2012 at Agrace HospiceCare Center in Fitchburg. She was born Feb. 19, 1935 in Endeavor, Wis., the daughter of Frank and Nellie (Dorman) McTier. She married Virgil E. Zantow on Jan. 2, 1954. She retired from the UW Housing Dept. She is survived by her four children, Elizabeth (Michael) Cunningham, Dan Zantow, Kelly Droster, and Todd Zantow; 12 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Lawrence “Bud” and Gerald McTier; a sister, Alice Ann (William) Roller; and several in-laws and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Gerald Todd Zantow; two brothers and a sister. A Celebration of Barbara’s life will be held at WAUNAKEE VILLAGE CENTER, Waunakee on Sunday, Oct. 14, 2012 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Private entombment with family was held at Roselawn Memorial Park in Monona.
