Barbara J. Langton

FALL RIVER - Barbara J. Langton, 54, of Fall River passed away on Tuesday, April 13, 2010 at the HospiceCare Center. Barbara was born on Jan. 17, 1956 in Elgin Il., the daughter of Robert and Monica Koch. She lived in the Elgin area until 1992 and then moved to the Madison area. On March 5, 1994 she married Wilbert Langton in Madison. She was a loving, caring wife, mother and grand-mother. She always felt her greatest accomplishment in her life was raising and caring for her family. Barb was an accomplished knitter and enjoyed making various items for family and friends. She was an avid pet lover from childhood. She cared for dogs, cats, rabbits and birds. She enjoyed camping and spending time outdoors. She is survived by her husband Wilbert of 16 years, three daughters: Melanie (Ron) Elmgren, Susan Gilson, and Alyssa Langton, three sons: Jim (Rhonda) Watts, Alan (Beth) Watts and Brian Langton, 14 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Also survived by her parents Robert and Monica Koch, three sisters: Kathy Rein, Mary Jane Novicki, and Bonnie Koch, three bothers: Richard Koch, Tom Koch and Robert Koch. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at 2 p.m. at Fall River United Methodist Church, 150 Church St, Fall River. Visitation will be at the church on Wednesday, from 12 p.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, please make memorials in Barb's name to the American Cancer Society.
