Arlene Laverne Clift

McFARLAND Arlene LaVerne Clift, age 83, began her journey into eternal life on Saturday, April 11, 2015. She was born Feb. 23, 1932 in Sheridan County, N.D., the youngest of 11 children to Karp and Mary Tkach. Arlene moved to California, where she met her husband, Willard Pug Clift, and they were married on Sept. 10, 1960. From there, they moved to Edgar Springs, Mo., where they owned and operated the feed store. Together they had a son, Willard Jr. Following the death of her husband, Arlene and Willard moved to McFarland, Wis., to be closer to family. After 18 years, she retired as the manager at Public Storage. Arlene loved decorating her home and porch for every season, especially Christmas. She also loved painting, dancing, and most of all, her son, Willard. Throughout her life, she never lost faith in God. Her strength in life was an inspiration. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willard; her parents, and all 10 of her siblings. She is survived by her son, Willard. Funeral services will be held at McFARLAND LUTHERAN CHURCH, 5529 Marsh Road, McFarland on Thursday, April 16, 2015 beginning at 1 p.m. with Pastor Tim Dean officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Thursday from 11 a.m. until the time of service. Graveside services will be held at Smith Cemetery in Edgar Springs, MO on Friday, April 17, 2015 at 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Arlenes name.
