Antonio Turrubiartes

SUN PRAIRIE Antonio Turrubiartes, age 46, passed away on Sunday, July 10, 2016 at the Rainbow Hospice Inpatient Center in Johnson Creek, surrounded by his family. He was born March 5, 1970 in San Luis Potosi, Mexico, the youngest of eight children to Hector Manuel Turrubiartes Macias and Julia Noyola de Turrubiartes. He was a man of his studies, including studying in Switzerland and getting his PhD in Business when he returned to Mexico. He worked for 12 years at different positions for the Sun Prairie School District, including most recently at the front desk of the high school, where he became known for his smile and welcoming face. He often times served as game manager and crowd control for various activities at school, and gained the students respect. He served as the boys and girls tennis coach and started the Chess Club at Sun Prairie High School. He enjoyed playing chess and bowling. He is survived by his sons, Manuel and Antonio; wife, Kathleen; parents, Hector and Julia; siblings, Hector, Natividad, Patricia, Magdalina, Hilda, and Gelos. He was preceded in death by his sister, Rosa A Catholic Mass will be held at SACRED HEARTS OF JESUS AND MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH, 221 Columbus St., Sun Prairie on Friday, July 15, 2016 beginning at noon. Visitation will be held at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass.
