Andrew T. Thorland

MADISON - We lost Andrew Thorland on April 1, 2018. In his short life, Andy brought so much joy and happiness to his family and friends. He was a beloved son to Sue and Tim, and a loyal friend to Ryan, Pedro and Matt. He was a long-time employee of Pre-Played in Madison and committed writer/statistician for the Madison Blaze Women's Football team. He was born on Feb. 19, 1985, attended La Follette High School and was working towards an Associate of Arts degree at Madison College. We will have wonderful memories of Andy, for his love and enthusiasm for sports (especially the Patriots), games and road trips to cover the Blaze football team, and the family car trips that visited almost every state. Friday night games and videos with the guys was a perfect end to the week. Andy is survived by his mother, Sue; Grandpa Henry Pahmeier; aunts, Sally (Manny) Kulsin and Sharon (Joe) Kalscheuer; uncles, Thomas Thorland, Troy (Donna) Thorland, Todd Thorland, and Mike (Masarah) Pahmeier; as well as numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by Grandma Shirley Thorland; Grandpa Gordon Thorland; Grandma Rita Pahmeier; and Uncle Ted Thorland. A gathering of family and friends is planned for Wednesday April 11, 2018, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at THE EAST SIDE CLUB, 3735 Monona Dr., Madison.
