Alice Jane Matranga

MADISON- Alice Jane Matranga, age 85, of Madison, passed away on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at Oak Park Place in Madison. She was born on July 12, 1929, in Madison, the daughter of Ruby and Edward Heinz. Alice married Marvin Matranga in 1946. She was first and foremost a dedicated and loving mother to her three children. She was a member of VFW Post 7591. She owned Alices Bakery on East Johnson Street. She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Matranga of Nashville, Tenn.; grandchildren, Robert and David Matranga; as well as her great-grandchildren. Alice was preceded in death by Marvin Matranga; and her two sons, Michael and Daniel Matranga. A memorial service will be held at PLYMOUTH CONGREGATIONAL UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST, 2401 Atwood Ave., Madison, on Saturday, May 16, 2015 beginning at 1:30 p.m. A private graveside service will follow.
