COTTAGE GROVE – Aletha M. Mohlman, age 69 of Cottage Grove, died on Sunday, June 17, 2007 at her home after a long courageous battle with cancer. She was born on Dec. 26, 1937, in Madison, the daughter of Denleigh and Violet (Yanke) Collins. Aletha attended Madison East High School and later graduated from Madison Business College.. She was employed at Oscar Mayer as an executive secretary prior to her years as a stay at home mom. Aletha was united in marriage on Oct. 1, 1960 to Arnold Mohlman. She was an excellent cook, and prided herself in her homemaking skills. She enjoyed collecting pretty things and kept them in original condition, but what she enjoyed the most was spending time with her family. Aletha is survived by her husband Arnold, of Cottage Grove; three sons, Mark (Annette), of Waunakee, Craig (Kathi), of Columbus, and Scott (Jill), of Cottage Grove; nine grandchildren, Kiersten, Ashley, Grant, Reed, Annika, Kianna, Grayson, Nikki and Alisa. She is also survived by, a brother, Peter (Kay) Collins, of Chaska, Minn. Private graveside services will be held for the immediate family at Roselawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to HospiceCare, Inc., 5395 E. Cheryl Parkway, Fitchburg, WI 53711, or Gilda’s Club Madison, Inc., 3000 Cahill Main, #201, Fitchburg, WI 53711. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the doctors and staff of the UW Comprehensive Cancer Center. She will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her.
