Albert J. Wetenkamp

March 27, 1935 - July 28, 2010 Albert Joseph Wetenkamp, 75, Janesville, WI, passed away on Wednesday, July 28, 2010, at Mercy Hospital. He was born on March 27, 1935, in Manitowoc, WI, to Lester and Alice Wetenkamp. He graduated from Lincoln High School in 1953. He married Joyce Bartleme in August, 1954. She preceded him in death on Sept. 5, 1992. He was employed by the Janesville Water Department, retiring in 1990. Survivors include his special companion of 17 years, Charlotte "June" Walters; three sons: Joseph (Diane) Wetenkamp, Michael (Kathy) Wetenkamp, and Allen Wetenkamp, all of Janesville; one daughter, Tina (Billy Joe) Johnston of Odin, IL; one brother, Thomas (Carol) Wetenkamp; one sister, Lucille (Jim) De Wein; one sister-in-law, Judy Wetenkamp of Manitowoc; 11 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and one great-grandson. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Edward Wetenkamp; and one daughter-in-law, Sonia Wetenkamp. A gathering of remembrance and celebration of Al's life will be held at the GARDEN COURT APARTMENTS COMMUNITY ROOM, 208 N. Main St. in Janesville on Saturday, July 31, 2010, at 1 p.m. Burial will be in Two Rivers, WI, at a later date. In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, contributions may be made to the family
